Thursday, September 5, 2002 - Fates Warning & Metal Blade
Fates Warning recently agreed to a new deal with Metal Blade and will start writing for their 10th studio album in the next few weeks. In related news, Metal Blade will be reissuing Night On Brocken and The Spectre Within. Both releases have been remastered and will include bonus tracks. Bonus tracks for NOB are 'Last Call' (unreleased song from the original Misfit demo), 'Kiss Of Death' (Live at L'amour 1985), 'The Calling' (rehearsal from 1983) and a rehearsal recording of IRON MAIDEN's 'Flight Of Icarus' from 1983. The Spectre Within will include 'Radio Underground' (live early version of 'Pirates Of The Underground'), 'The Apparition' (rehearsal from 1985), and early demos of both 'Kyrie Eleison' and 'Epitaph'. Release date is set for September 24th. In other FW news, work on the DVD, The View From Here, is almost complete. The DVD will include all of the MTV videos, some live footage, and some documentary footage from the Disconnected recording sessions. Release looks to be early in 2003.
