Wednesday, April 21, 2010 - Sabaton News | Sabaton will be releasing their new album, Coat Of Arms, via Nuclear Blast on May 21st throughout Europe and the 24th in the UK.
'Uprising' and the album's title track are currently streaming online at the band's MySpace page.
The band comments: "We are proud to announce that we have added the track 'Uprising' from our upcoming album to our MySpace site. The song is a powerful and emotional tribute to those who lost their lives in the Warsaw uprising in 1944."
The band also announces that they will shoot a video clip for the song under just spectacular circumstances.
"We are happy to announce that the recording of our music video for the song 'Uprising' has been rescheduled successfully, and that it will take place in Warsaw during this and next week. Out of respect for the Polish mourning period we decided to postpone the video shoot last week, and now we will try again.
This will by far be the biggest Sabaton video production ever, and dare we say: one of the biggest in heavy metal?
The video will feature Peter Stormare (Prison Break, 8MM, Fargo) as SS-Obergruppenführer von dem Bach and will be directed by Jacek Raginis (related to decorated WWII hero Wladyslav Raginis)."
Sabaton recently announced their first full UK headline tour alongside allies/Scottish Pirate metallers Alestorm for a six day attack of England, Scotland and Wales.
When asked for comment, Sabaton vocalist Joakim Brodén replied: "You want me to say some words about us going on tour with Alestorm? I only need two: Blitzkrieg Piracy! We've met these guys several times on the road, and they're just as fucked up as we are. Expect some crazy ass shows."
Catch Sabaton and Alestorm at the following shows:
October 11- Manchester, UK - Academy 12 - Glasgow, UK - Garage 14 - London, UK - Electric Ballroom 15 - Wolverhampton, UK - Slade Rooms 16 - Sheffield, UK - The Corporation 17 - Brighton, UK - Concorde |
