Thursday, November 5, 2009 - Shakra Announce New Vocalist
Shakra parted ways with singer Mark Fox in early June. The band have found a replacement and have issued the following statement:

"After many weeks of intensive searching for a new singer, we are now very happy to announce that we finally found our new frontman. It is Swiss guy John Prakesh who originates in India! John lives in Zuzwil (SG), is 30 years old and was the lead singer of the hard rock band Prakesh up to now.

John has left behind more than 100 competitors (some of them very prominent) and impressed us in many ways! ...We are totally delighted with the sound of John's voice and his singing skills....He is a really nice, open-minded guy with a good sense of humor! We have now worked with John in the Studio as well as in the rehearsal room, and also had some longer conversations. We couldn't be happier when looking ahead into the future!

The first show with the new formation will take place on the 8th of November in the TV-Broadcast Die Grössten Schweizer Hits, and we will rock some live- concerts starting in March 2010."
