Friday, November 16, 2007 - New Album From Biloxi | Discerning melodic rock fans know that Biloxi's 'Let The Games Begin' was one of the truly great releases of the nineties. Up there with Harem Scarem's 'Mood Swings'.
The band, led by vocalist, songwriter and guitarist, Clyde Holley, released a second album, 'Right The Music' to mixed reviews in 2002 . . . it was perhaps a little too contemporary for reactionaries and a little too traditional for today's generation of melodic rock fans.
Holley's recent premature demise left the remaining members of the new lineup - Mark Lanoue, Rob Gronowski and Stefan Prescott - with the age old dilemma, break up or carry on.
Thankfully, in tribute to Holley, they choose to carry on and finish new recordings already started with Holley. Two tracks with Holley on vocals had already been completed.
Lanoue stepped up to the microphone and the mixing desk for the remainder.
The result is 'Biloxi III', just released and currently available from the band's website, as are samples of each of the 14 tracks. |
