Tuesday, July 4, 2006 - 7thorns wins Heavy Metal Eurovision - 4th edition | News from 7thorns:
It might "just" had been an internet vote competition, but none the less 37 bands from 37 European countries participated in the 4th edition of the Heavy Metal Eurovision contest, and in the end we, 7thorns, were - somehow - announced as the winners.(no bribes involved).
Not only was our promo CD "Artificial Night" nominated for a Danish Metal Award, now the title track "Artificial Night" has won this international heavy metal contest. Not bad for a first release from a new band ;-) .
We are extremely happy to receive this kind of acknowledgement from people and fans from all over Europe, and we would like to thank everyone who helped us with this - the Danish e-zines, radio stations and magazines who published the information regarding the contest, everybody who voted for us and a big HAIL to the rest of the 36 bands from all over Europe.
Cheers to you all - see you!!!
