Wednesday, September 28, 2005 - Eidolon album news | Glen Drover has issued the following update on Eidolon:
"Hello everyone!!
Sorry it has been so long, but as most of you know, Shawn and I have been on tour most of the summer with Megadeth, and what a tour it was!!!!
Where are we with the recording of the new Eidolon album you ask? Well, all the music is pretty much complete now, aside from my solos and two bass tracks.
Nils has been very busy in the vocal department and really coming up with some great stuff!! Some of the song titles on the album will be 'Strong Winds', 'Spirit Sanctuary', 'Arcturus No. 9' and 'Ghost World'. Also, the working title for the album is The Parallel Otherworld.
Shawn and I have four more shows to finish the Megadeth world tour, which will happen between October 5th - 15th. I will be home as of the 17th, and shortly after, Adrian and I will finish up the final tracks. As far as the vocals, we should have all of the finished tracks by mid-November and then start the mix around the same time.
There will also be a cover version of Mercyful Fate's 'The Oath' with both Hank Sherman and Michael Denner doing their solos!!! A big thanks goes out to them for contributing their work for that song. You guys rule!!
I will keep you posted with further developments as we go along, as we put the finishing touches on this album that has been in the works for so long!!
Till the next update, take care!
Glen." |
