Tuesday, December 2, 2008 - Album update from Stream of Passion | Stream of Passion have issued the following update on their new album:
"The members of Stream Of Passion are already busy laying down the final tracks for their second studio album! To stick to their traditional distributed and de-centralized way of working, the band is making use of different studios and locations to create the sound they're looking for.
Joining the team are renowned Dutch producers Joost van den Broek (AFTER FOREVER) and Jochem Jacobs (TEXTURES). The combination of their influences is just what the band was looking for: heavy and powerful on one side, atmospheric and melodic on the other.
Stay tuned for upcoming studio reports, where the band members write about their experiences during recordings and fill you in on the recording progress!" · Discuss this news further (1) |

Tuesday, June 6, 2006 - Stream Of Passion drummer Davy Mickers launches website | Not famous, but known throughout the world. That's the position Davy Mickers is in at the moment. He started by playing a few acoustic tracks on Arjen Lucassen's Ayreon album 'The final experiment (special edition - bonus disc)'. After that he became the drummer for Lucassen's new band, Stream Of Passion. They recorded the full length album 'Embrace the storm', which was released October 2005 in the Benelux by Sony/BMG, throughout the rest of Europe, USA and Canada by Inside Out and in Russia, Baltic States and Ukraine by IronD. The video for 'Out in the real world' could be seen on Mtv and became Superclip on TMF (Dutch music video channel).
Drumming with Stream Of Passion meant the start of a career as a professional drummer for Davy. During the European Tour he did with Stream Of Passion he was confronted with fans; enthusiastic reactions, presents and a lot of questions. That's why Davy decided to work on a website. "I noticed that people were getting interested in what I do. The gear I play and the projects I do drums for. Since there's not much information to find about me, I thought I'd give the fans a hand."
The website contains a biography, discography, downloads, tourdates, information about the gear and projects, etc. As a bonus for the fans there's an exclusive feature especially for this occasion.
Davy will be touring with Stream Of Passion again this summer. Graspop, Waldrock and Bospop are a few names on the tourlist.
