Speaking of less than a week, it is just a couple days 'til the digital release of my new album House of Insanity.

I was a bit confused as to whether or not to call it an album, CD, whatever. But, I grew up with albums so, an album it is. I do plan on a vinyl release. The CD/album will hit stores in February. Those of you who that would like to download it in the upcoming week I am very excited for you to hear it. I am going to put up a link to a digital booklet. This will include all the album art, lyrics, etc.

The response from the tracks I have previewed as well as the few people who have heard the entire piece have been amazing. I am really anxious for everyone to hear this.

I will be doing interviews throughout the TSO tour and all reviews and new info will be posted regularly here on www.chriscaffery.com and on www.myspace.com/chriscaffery. I did post the song 'Seasons Change' there yesterday in case you want to listen. There will be a brand new chriscaffery.com up and running very shortly.

"Hi all,

It has been 15 years since the tragic death of our good friend and bandmate Criss Oliva. We launched the newest version on the official Savatage My Space in his honor.

www.myspace.com/savatage

Criss, we all miss you, the fans, the band, the Legion...but through your music the spirit lives on. We will continue to remember and always feel the Power each time we listen to your magical playing....

TSO rehearsals are now two days old, things sound great. We played some special stuff today and dedicated it to Criss. The mood was pretty intense, especially for Johnny, Paul, Jeff, Bob, Alex and myself. I believe you all will enjoy the upcoming tour. The band sounds amazing after just two days and the stage show is out of control huge.

It is less then two weeks til the worldwide digital release of my new CD House of Insanity. Very anxious for you to hear it, I will post new tracks each day after the release. The song 'I Won't Know' is back up again now.

Enjoy your weekend and please drive safely and sober...as we are all too aware of in Savatage-land the life you endanger may not just be your own."

Peace,
Chris

Sunday, March 2, 2008 - Chris Caffery - Gearing Up To Record New Solo Album In May
Chris Caffery has issued the following update:

"Hi All!

Still can't decide on a CD title, but songs are coming more frequently now. Want to let you know where things are at now.

I have a working list of ideas, I add certain songs to the tempory CD playlist when I feel they reach a point where they may make the CD. As of now there are 10 ideas on the good list. Will be interesting to see which ones survive! I only want to release 10 songs with vox, an instrumental, and one cover tune on this CD.

So... 'House Of Insanity', 'Shame', 'The Fleas', 'Schizophrenia' (this is the instrumental), 'Back's To The Wall', 'No Matter What', 'Seasons Change', 'I'm Sorry', 'Solitaire', 'Winter In Hamburg'

So, come May when I start to record let's see which ones of these survive! It's like Song Idol!!!"

Peace!

Tuesday, January 29, 2008 - Chris Caffery begins work on new album
News from Chris Caffery:

"Hi all!

Yes...the writing has begun again.

Slowly but surely the studio is coming back together. Actually, really together more-so than before. I am making it so I can record most of my keeper vocals, guitars and bass here. Lots of new toys. Very pleased with most of them. Got a great new pre-amp. A Chandler. Updates to the new Amplitube for solos...it is sick! New Reason...waves bundle...drum sound replacer...list goes on. I need a new vocal mic and I am set to go.

New music is slowly starting to get written. Still don't know what the CD will sound like. Only going to do 10 songs, a cover or 2 as bonus tracks and an instrumental.

So...the final CD could go just about anywhere.

Peace,

Chris

Wednesday, January 24, 2007 - Metal Heaven sign Chris Caffery
Press release from Metal Heaven:

CHRIS CAFFERY truly is one of the most respected and versatile guitarists in the Metal world of today. Starting in 1984 with the band HEAVEN, he first met producer Paul O'Neill who introduced Chris to US Metal legends SAVATAGE in 1987 and in 1996 Savatage's song "Christmas Eve Sarajevo" led to the formation of the extra-ordinary US Platinum act Trans-Siberian Orchestra. The latest TSO tour, in which Chris was the frontman as well as lead guitarist, sold one million tickets.

After numerous tours and recordings with these bands and other projects the time was finally right for CAFFERY's first solo album entitled "Faces" (2004) which was right away followed by the CD "W.A.R.P.E.D." in 2005. These releases for the first time saw CAFFERY also taking over the lead vocals duties. His band consists of Paul Morris (RAINBOW, DORO) on keyboards, Nick Douglas (DORO) on bass guitar, Jeff Plate (SAVATAGE, METAL CHURCH) and Yael (MY RUIN, FIREBALL MINISTRY) on drums as well as Dave Z on bass guitars.

"Pins And Needles" exactly continues here. The songs definitely are deadringers for any SAVATAGE fan once again. However, there is a more powerful, aggressive, experimental and focused attack that is sure to catch the ears of any metal fan. The album was produced by CAFFERY together with Nik Chinboukas at Nik's Hot Tracks Studio, Spin Studios and Happy Beaver Studios, Astoria, NY.

The ltd. edition first pressing of this release will be a digi-pack incl. the bonus track "Once Upon A Time".

Tracklist "Pins & Needles":

01. Pins & Needles
02. Sixty-Six
03. Torment
04. Walls
05. YGBFKM
06. Sad
07. Chained
08. Worms
09. Crossed
10. The Time
11. Metal East
12. Qualdio
13. The Temple
14. Once Upon A Time (bonus track)

Monday, July 17, 2006 - News from Chris Caffery
Update from Chris Caffery:

"Things are moving along in the business world. I am still getting the new music out to many more labels. Hopefully I will be able to announce a new home for the next CD soon. I am still talking to anyone and everyone who is interested, I want to find the perfect place for this CD that I have worked so hard on this past year.

Speaking of the CD, we are almost finishing mixing it. I am going to put a few little sniglets up here in the upcoming months. No songs will be on for longer than a few hours so keep an eye out for my signal as to when you can hear something!

I am looking into doing some live shows in the US in late summer/early fall. Trans-Siberian Orchestra rehearsals start in October. The tour this year promises to be the biggest ever. We are doing over 60 shows on the TSO East Tour alone!

Something that many people are already guessing is that the business changes will most likely delay the release of the new CD. Right now I am guessing that the CD will be in the stores after the TSO tour. This is not a terrible thing considering the business shuts down in Nov/Dec anyway. The idea now is to rocket into 2007 with a new CD and World Tour. All things are subject to change as we all know so keep an eye out here or ChrisCaffery.com for updates. I am going to be doing a lot of new updates to cc.com soon. If you haven't registered to the message boards, I suggest you stop by and sign up. Many of the tips as to when the songs will be up here will show up there first!

I hope all of you are having a great summer! Talk to you soon!"
