Staci T. Rat - Year of the Rat
Staci T. Rat's career began in Red Light Rippers and later Chop Suicide. This is the first solo EP from the Canadian guitarist and singer. It is so surprise that Staci T. Rat hails from Canada since the music is a crossover of Robin Black & The Intergalactic Rock Stars and Crash Kelly.
 
"Year of the Rat" is a four track EP with a playing time of only 14:53 minutes. With such a short playing time it leaves no room for fillers. The saying less is more could be true if Another Time was left out, since it drags down the overall impression. The music of Staci T. Rat works best when its guitar driven 70's Glitter Rock like on album opener Seven Years (notice the handclaps) and the guitar driven We All Laugh At You. The guitars sound huge on the record and basically this is 70's Glitter Rock taken into 2009.

The packaging of the album is great as always with Trashpit Records.
