Tuesday, October 17, 2006 - Steelheart line-up
News from Steelheart:

"Hello everyone this is Mili,
I am happy to announce the dates are set for the "Just A Taste Tour" and the team has been assembled! The dates will be posted on the SteelHeart website this week. You can also get the dates on www.myspace.com/steelheart. I would like to introduce the band to you. On Lead guitar we have Chris Risola. We all know Chris from the first two albums, a crazy rock'n talented guitar player who has been on hiatus for the last ten years hiding in FLA with beautiful women. I think it s safe to say there is a little fire built up in that soul.

On rhythm/lead joining me will be T-Bone Andersson; Swedish Viking guitar virtuoso who currently resides in Los Angeles, a tasteful yet dirty string bender. On drums we have Mike Humbert. Mike is an outstanding drummer from Pennsylvania. I met Mike two years ago when I started recording the demos for this album. I have never seen anyone hit the drums as hard yet with such precision as this guy. Last but not least we have world renowned bass player Myron Dove. Myron shared the stage with Santana for 12 years and now he will be laying some nasty groves with us. And of course on vocals we got this guy from Zagreb Croatia. Now lets fuck'n jam."

Friday, September 15, 2006 - Steelheart singer looking for guitarist and bassist
BW&BK has issued the following update on Steelheart:

Steelheart frontman Miljenko Matijevic is looking for a rhythm guitar player and a bass player with vocal abilities. Chris Risola from the original first two albums will be joining him on the tour as the lead guitar player. According to an update, "Miljenko has just completed his new album and is getting ready to go back out and rock. The shows will start in Orlando, FL on November 3. This will be a small tour to get the train rolling. We will be performing some old Steelheart, some songs from the movie Rock Star and new material. The new music is nothing like the old Steelheart. The best way to describe the sound is a heavy futuristic Led Zeppelin. We are looking to go into the future not the past, so no '80's rockers. As much as we respect those days we have naturally evolved. Please send an email to Steelheart@Steelheart.com with links to your website or you may send a package to:

Steelheart Records LLC.
ATT: Miljenko Matijevic
1112 East Market Street Suite 23-C
Charlottesville VA 22902"

An update from Steelheart's official website by Miljenko Matijevic:

"I personally wanted to tell you that things are moving forward fast, so I thought I should bring you up to speed to what's happening.

"The album is complete and it will be released in early spring of 2007. It is heavier and harder than the old Steelheart, a new vision. This album cranks!!!!!!!

"We will release three songs before Christmas so everyone can get a taste of what's to come.

"I am happy to announce that I will be performing some dates in the U.S. starting in Florida on November 3rd, just to get my feet wet and rock the f#$*ck'n house. I am also proud to say that Chris Risola will be joining me as my right-hand lead guitar gunslinger. As you all know, Chris is an amazing guitar player; I thought it would be great to have him with me on this new journey. Welcome aboard, Chris!! We will be performing some old nasty Steelheart as well as some songs from the movie 'Rock Star' and then some songs from the new album. It will be a show not to miss.

"The live Steelheart DVD is complete and it will be released in Europe, October 2006 through Steelheart Records LLC, Fallen Sky Records and distributed by Cargo. For everyone who would like to purchase the DVD before the U.S. release you may do so in November 2006 at the Steelheart store. We are anticipating a U.S. release early next year. Steelheart Records has also entered into a new merchandising deal with Balzout and BioWorld, two leading manufacturers of the heavy metal/rock merchandising. They support everyone from LED ZEPPELIN to PANTERA, and MEGADETH, just to name a few.

"In the near future you will be able to purchase Steelheart swag across Tower Records, Musicland stores, Spencer's, Kohl's, Target, FYE.

"Steelheart Records would like to thank licensing agent Jim Paidas of Paidas Management for his hard work in making this deal come together. The project is called 'Rockstalgia'. You may get more information at Balzout.com or at the PaidasManagement.com website. This project is growing rapidly so please keep checking the site for news. I will also post a new logo and snippets of the new album shortly."

Tuesday, August 15, 2006 - News from Steelheart
News from Steelheart's Miljenko Matijevic:

The album is basically complete.

We need to mix five more songs. We were supposed to finish this week but over the weekend the studio in London, Ontario - Emac Studios - was struck by lightning and blew out the Neve.

I guess I will just chalk this up to the rest of the crazy things that happened during the making of this album.

We are going to release the album next year. The DVD is complete and we are aiming to release that this year in Europe."

Stay tuned for further updates.

Sunday, September 11, 2005 - Steelheart website launch
The following press release has been sent to BW&BK:

"After a four year hiatus from the rock scene, Miljenko, Mili Matijevic (aka Steelheart), one of the most powerful voices in music today will be launching a new website on September 15, 2005 - Steelheart.com. There you will find information on what Mili is currently up to along with snippets of all his previous albums including the lyrics and a taste of some new material to come. There will be a separate website dedicated to the original members of the band, an online store with many products, giveaways including the DVD of the movie Rock Star. For all of you who are unfamiliar with the movie, Mili was the voice of Mark Wahlberg as well as the main writer of the song 'We All Die Young' from his album Wait, which was featured in the movie and on the soundtrack. Mili is scheduled to start recording his new album in October 2005. With three albums worth of material written, Mili is anxious to get in the studio and get back out on stage live. Friday, December 31, 2004 - Steelheart news
Michael Matijevic Miljenko, lead singer of US rockers Steelheart reports that "things are moving forward at a steady pace. I've been working with a new drummer for the last month getting songs ready for the album. The music has changed dramatically from the old sound. It is a mixture of the past, present & future. A fusion of rock mixed with electronic and classical. Imagine a LED ZEP of the future. The new steelheart.com site should be soon."

Monday, August 2, 2004 - Steelheart news
The official Steelheart website has the following message from vocalist Mike Matijevic:

"Dear Friends, I would like to apologize for my absence. Due to another death in my family once again my life was taken off course.

I am sad to say on September 30th, 2003 my father Mirko Matijevic passed away at the age of 63. His death had great impact on my life and my future to come.

Besides the trauma of reliving another death in the family, I also endured the responsibility to administer my father's estate. This journey, responsibility consumed all of my time and energy. I am now at the end of this journey and now I can honestly say that all my attention and focus is to put a band together and sing from the bottom of my soul.

I would also like to let it be known that I am changing my name back to my birthright name 'Miljenko Matijevic' the short of that is 'Mili'.

Please visit Steelheart.com and register on the message board. I will be checking the board periodically and I will try to answer any questions you may have.

I appreciate your patience and your understanding.

I love you all. Stay in tune, there's a lot to come."
