Wednesday, March 23, 2011 - Wuthering Heights - On Hold For The Time Being
A message from Wuthering Heights:

Dear Friends,

As some of you know, the reason for the current inactivity of Wuthering Heights is my bad health. For more than a year I have suffered from serious back pain. I have had surgery twice, but so far my condition has not improved. My situation leaves me no energy for creative production. Also, as I am currently unable to hold a day job, I have no financial basis for the recording or performing of my music. Therefore I am forced to put Wuthering Heights on hold for the time being.

Writing music and playing in a band has been the center of my life for more than twenty years so this is not something I take lightly. I want to be honest with the fans - I don't want them holding on to false hope for new music from Wuthering Heights in the near future. I would rather everyone be pleasantly surprised when we (hopefully) do something again further down the line.

You will still be able to contact the band via our website and email address, courtesy of Intromental Management.

Finally, let me take this opportunity to thank everyone involved in the amazing rollercoaster ride that has been the history of Wuthering Heights - most importantly our fans, without whom none of this would matter anyway.

Herne protect you,
ERIK RAVN

Thursday, July 3, 2008 - Wuthering Heights working on new album
Wuthering Heights have issued the following update:

"Here's a little newsflash from the Wuthering Heights camp just to keep you updated on the band's activities.

Plans are being laid at the moment to get the busy guys together to rehearse for the ProgPower show in October. Rehearsals will most likely take place late August or early September at Teddy's place in Uppsala, Sweden. The guys are looking forward to playing again, partying and breaking stuff.!?! The lineup is still intact from the last ProgPower gig and that infamous live album.

And yes, we are working on a new album. The album is more or less planned out, although still in a very rough state. The album will be titled: SALT. Thematically it's the usual crazy stuff from Erik's sick mind, some of it with a bit of a "maritime" twist this time, and musically it promises to be a very melodic and very folksy affair.

Here are a few tentative song titles: 'Away!', 'The Mad Sailor', 'The Desperate Poet', 'Tears', 'Weather The Storm', 'The Field', 'The Last Tribe', 'Water Of Life', 'Lost At Sea'.

All this is still indeed subject to change, of course.

However, we will have to beg for our fans' patience. Although a good deal of work has been laid down already, things aren't really moving forward much right now. Erik is suffering from back pains which prevent him from spending those long hours at the computer, demoing and arranging. So unfortunately we're not able to give any promises as to when the album will be finished. But, we hope things work out soon.

That's all for now, folks. Keep the metal spirit alive and stay tuned for more news!

Herne protect you!

Your faithful Mad Minstrels of Metal."
