| Tuesday, August 16, 2011 - Luca Turilli Leaves Rhapsody Of Fire | After 15 years of friendship, hard work and big passion, fully invested in the creation of symphonic music and an epic saga that will remain in the history of heavy metal, Alex Staropoli and Luca Turilli decided to proceed to a friendly split.
"10 albums released and the end of the saga represent, musically and lyrically, an important artistic goal finally reached, underlined by the success of our last release "From Chaos To Eternity", for which we want to thank our wonderful fans once again. Now it came the time when new artistic stimulations need to be found, in respect of both parts' visions and perspectives and of our longtime friendship" say Luca and Alex.
Due to the latest legal agreements actually in force, Alex Staropoli will go on with Rhapsody Of Fire having, between the others, Fabio Lione as singer, Tom Hess as guitar player and Alex Holzwarth as drummer.
For the same agreements and the original name's common ownership, Luca Turilli will release his future works with a new Rhapsody band, including the faithful band members Dominique Leurquin, Patrice Guers and Alex Holzwarth.
Alex says: "While wishing the best to Luca and his new band, I want to tell you that Fabio and myself feel motivated and stronger than ever and that Rhapsody Of Fire are already planning a great worldwide tour. More information regarding the new bass player and the new second guitar player will follow. Stay tuned!"

| Wednesday, March 16, 2011 - Rhapsody Of Fire Announce New Album Details | Rhapsody Of Fire are proud to announce to the world, that the mix of "From Chaos To Eternity" is now at the end and that the new album will be released by Nuclear Blast on June, 17th, 2011.
The band commented:
"It is the end of an era. This historical release will end the Rhapsody's sagas once for all after 15 years of fantasy oriented lyrics and for the last time we'll hear Sir Christopher Lee narrating in one of our albums the last dramatic events of a legendary tale started in 1997 and told through 2 different sagas and 10 full length albums. We are surely very sad but we also know that for this same reason the upcoming release will remain in the history of the band for its artistic importance and unique epic!"

"From Chaos To Eternity" is the title of the new RHAPSODY OF FIRE's full length album, that will be released in Spring 2011 through Nuclear Blast at a worldwide level.
The 10th studio album of the Italian power metal act will be a new musical masterpiece. Described by the band as the natural evolution of the monumental chartbreaker of 2010 "The Frozen Tears Of Angels", the new album will represent an important goal in the history of RHAPSODY OF FIRE, as it will be the last one based in the fantasy saga started in 1997 with the debut album "Legendary Tales".
As usual Luca Turilli and Alex Staropoli will be the producers of the new work. But for the first time, part of such a production (vocals and guitar recordings) was and will be mostly based in Trieste, the Italian hometown of the two founders. The recordings of bass and drums already took place in Wolfsburg at "The Gate Studio" under the wise supervision of their longtime friend Sascha Paeth (AVANTASIA, ANGRA and more).
Luca says: "We are really proud to reveal to the whole world that the production of our new full length album is at a very good point already. Lyrically it has a particular meaning for all of us, as with the 5th and final chapter of the "Dark Secret saga" our band will close its fantasy cycle started 13 years ago. The dark secret will finally reveal itself and for the last time Sir Christopher Lee will give his unique and fundamental contribution to our work. Musically expect something really special out of the ten album titles. A song like "Ghosts Of Forgotten Worlds" with its rageous and hypnotic guitar riff, will make you breath the dusty atmospheres of the southern ghostlands. "Aeons Of Raging Darkness" is pure melodic chaos translated into music, "Tornado" the greatest technical challenge for each single bandmember and "Tempesta Di Fuoco", the first speed track completely sung in Italian language. For my song "Fantasia Gotica" I wrote and finalized the cinematic orchestral arrangements inspired by the visionary genius of Tim Burton, while "The Splendour Of Angels's Glory (A Final Revelation)" is Alex's choral and majestic track for the perfect finale of the dark secret saga. Our bass player Patrice Guers and our drummer Alex Holzwarth did their best job so far in a RHAPSODY OF FIRE album. One more word is needed to underline the excellent performance of our singer: in this new release, Fabio Lione will present himself definitely as one of the best and most versatile singers, being able to pass with unique ability and talent from the most aggressive vocals, to clean angelic voices and powerful operatic parts. Once more you are going to be really surprised."
Alex Staropoli adds: "As always the cinematic elements that defined our style will enrich each track, but the guitar work will be again very important too. What is sure is, that for such an album Luca and I composed our best solos ever!"
"From Chaos To Eternity" will be released in spring 2011, in a jewelcase standard edition of 24 pages, and in an exclusive limited edition of 48 pages, full of great and unique surprises - as well as two bonus tracks, for a total of 65 minutes of RHAPSODY OF FIRE's legendary music.

| Tuesday, September 14, 2010 - Rhapsody Of Fire Confirmed For Bloodstock Open Air | Rhapsody Of Fire have been confirmed for next years Bloodstock Open Air festival.
This will be the band's first UK show in over ten years and their only UK Show of 2011. Rhapsody Of Fire will perform on Saturday August 13th as special guests to Immortal.
Rhapsody Of Fire have issued the following statement on their forthcoming Bloodstock appearance:
"Hail to you, dear brothers and sisters! We are so excited to announce to you that we agreed with our English friends an exclusive presence as special guest for the Bloodstock festival of next year in the UK! It will be our first live appearance ever on that wonderful ground and we are looking forward to playing our greatest songs and to have together a great time in the name of Rhapsody Of Fire's epic cinematic music. | Friday, July 30, 2010 - Rhapsody Of Fire To Release 35-minutes symphony | Rhapsody of Fire press release:
Rhapsody of Fire are going to release an epic monument called: "The Cold Embrace Of Fear - A Dark Romantic Symphony".
"For this special CD we composed a unique song of around 35 minutes divided in 7 "acts". Looking at the title you can easily imagine that such long and epic song will show the most cinematic and orchestral side of our band, all our passion for the world of cinema we love so much and that always represented our main influence while composing the RHAPSODY's music", says Luca Turilli and adds: "Essentially it is a long huge song, sounding very symphonic, full of orchestral sections very soundtrack oriented, narrations and spoken parts. More than in other cases we tried to create a real movie atmosphere with very dynamic musical results, also thanks to the help of the English actors that gave voice to different characters. You will just need to close your eyes and explore those new emotional dimensions we wrote the music for."
The lyrics of this monumental, epic symphony is based on the "dark secret saga" and represents a new chapter, directly connected with "The Frozen Tears Of Angels".
Luca explains: "After the long journey to the icy frozen northlands at the borders of the known world, while facing concrete natural obstacles and the inner demons lying in the depths of their conscience, the five main charachters reach the ancient gothic fortress of Har-Kuun, a real monument of evil trapped between ice and snow, the mystic place where the Erian's book could be finally found. "The Cold Embrace Of Fear" tells about the entrance of those bravehearts in the ancestral world of Har-Kuun and the dramatic search for the holy book of the angels, only possible way to understand something more about the dark secret threatening the whole known world. Also in this case I liked to create particular "bridges" connecting the new chapter of the saga with our modern life on the basis of symbolism, ancient wisdom and spiritual evolution. To someone who knows something about modern psychology and the study of the different "self", the hidden geometries and gothic labyrinths of Har-Kuun will reveal themselves very clearly."
Once again Christopher Lee was chosen for the spoken parts as a main narrator. "We couldn't imagine to release something like this without his fundamental partecipation. Sir Lee is one member of the RHAPSODY OF FIRE's family since a lot of time and we love him not only as an actor but also as man. Because of his great and majestic personality he has surely the aura of a king of the ancient times.

First of all thank you for all the patience you had in these last times despite the lack of news regarding the band.
We wanted to inform you that we are in the middle of a hard legal fight with MCM and his main representative Mr. Joey De Maio.
That's the reason why in the last months we had to keep all strictly confidential and could not release any official declaration that could obviously be used against us from the opposite side. And that's also the reason why we were constricted to stop completely our band's activity. Frankly we are not able to imagine if all this can end in a very close future but we want to assure you that we are ready to fight with all the strength of body and soul in order to protect yours and our beloved band. In November 2005 Italian Film Score Metal icons Rhapsody are poised to release their first live album ever! The recordings will be based on performances made during leg one of Manowar's 'Demons, Dragons and Warriors World Tour' where Rhapsody appeared as the special guests in spring 2005. This recently completed first leg of the tour was highly acclaimed for its striped down and performance oriented arrangements, which allowed the band to prove that the music is the message. No track list has been released yet but Rhapsody 's record label Magic Circle Music announced the songs played during the shows included old favorites and tracks from their latest release Symphony Of Enchanted Lands II - The Dark Secret. | Monday, April 4, 2005 - New Rhapsody video online | Rhapsody's video for the single "The Magic Of The Wizard's Dream" is now available online in Quicktime format. Right click this link and choose "Save target as..." to download the video. The song is the re-recorded version featuring Christopher Lee on vocals, both solo and dueting with Fabio Lione. I needed several listens before I was able to stomach the duets. A grand production and overall one of Rhapsody's best videos, which only becomes unintentionally funny a couple of times. Watch out for the pretty cute violinist at 3:11.

As you may already know Joey DeMaio was chosen by the band and Mr. Lee to produce the recording with the help of a Cologne string orchestra and some other guest musicians. With Lee's command of over 12 languages, the track was recorded in four different languages - English, German, French and Italian. Also a spectacular video was shot in High Definition filmed by noted director Neil Johnson featuring a 40-piece orchestra and a 20-piece choir.
In addition to the four language versions the band also produced two brand new studio tracks, 'Autumn Twilight' and 'Lo Specchio D'Argento', that will also appear on this new offering, due for release on April 11th through Magic Circle Music/SPV/Steamhammer.
Two versions of the single will be available. All versions of the title track feature a duet with Christopher Lee and Fabio Lione. Here are the tracklistings:

"When the Italian epic metal band Rhapsody first met the legendary actor Christopher Lee in December 2003 during the recording of their current album, Symphony Of Enchanted Lands II - The Dark Secret, no one really knew what could come of this collaboration.
It was only after Lee himself, being a talented singer possessing a rich bass/baritone voice, expressed his 'concerns' that he was about to narrate for the album in a role of a wizard king and not sing at all, laid the ground for what was to come next:
The release of the album was critically acclaimed by both fans and media and achieving fantastic chart positions throughout the world - the parties decided to meet again in December 2004 to re-record the album track 'The Magic Of The Wizard's Dream', this time as a duet that would feature the rich and expressive singing voice of none other than Mr. Lee with the band Rhapsody.
In many reviews of the album, media and fans had already chosen the song as one of the best ever by the band. This time, producer Joey DeMaio (MANOWAR) was chosen by the band and Mr. Lee to produce the recording with the help of a Cologne string orchestra and some other guest musicians.
With Mr. Lee's command of over 12 languages it was a pleasure not a problem to record the song in the four different languages: English, German, French and Italian. We have a lot of ideas, and we might be doing some new directions, but it's still a secret. The black metal idea is a good one, and we might incorporate some black metal on the next album.
