Friday, November 19, 2010 - Hibria Announce New Album Details
Brazilian metallers Hibria have set "Blind Ride" as the title of their third album, due on January 26 via King Records in Japan. The CD was mixed and mastered at Machine Shop Studios and marks the recording debut of the band's new bass player Benhur Lima, who joined Hibria after the tour in support of the group's previous CD, "The Skull Collectors".

Guitarist Diego Kasper commented: "We've just listened to the mix sent from Machine Shop Studios and we're sure this is the most intense and raging album in our career so far. Besides keeping the speed, dense arrangements, and melodic lines of the heavy metal we've played until now, we allowed influences from thrash to progressive to permeate our music. We can't wait to hear the feedback from our audience, live and through the web. Also, we have recently inked a deal with Base 2 Productions, in charge of the management of Sepultura and Angra, and for sure all these new partnerships would take us to another level in a worldwide basis."

"Blind Ride" track listing:

01. Blind Ride (intro)
02. Nonconforming Minds
03. Welcome To The Horror Show
04. Shoot Me Down
05. Blinded By Faith
06. The Shelter's On Fire
07. Beyond Regrets Of The Past
08. I Feel No Bliss
09. Sight Of Blindness
10. Tough Is The Way
11. Rotten Souls

Friday, May 28, 2010 - Bass Player Leaves Hibria
Bass player Marco Panichi has left the Brazilian power metal group Hibria. The band announced his departure with statements from both the remaining members and Marco on their official website:

This is something we've never thought we would communicate our audience someday, but we regret to tell you our great friend Marco Panichi has left Hibria.

Marco told the band he left the group to dedicate himself to his personal projects. Due to the great pride we have for our career path and for all we have accomplished together since the beginning of the band, we respect his decision. As friends, we know we can count on Marco as well as he knows he can count on us in the present and in the future.

To those Who follow our music, be sure that the four of us have been working harder and harder to release a killer, intense and heavier third album by the end of 2010.

See you soon!
Abel, Diego, Eduardo e Iuri.

--------------------------------------

Dear all, this is Marco from Hibria

I'm writing to share I'm leaving the band on the following days after 17 years dedicated to playing bass-guitar and 14 as part of Hibria which I'm one of the founding fathers.

After all this time it will be hard not being part of a band and feel your heat after launching a CD or playing in a concert. However, lately, I feel more attracted to produce bands than playing in one. I'm aiming to work with different bands and for that reason I started a partnership with Final Pro Music (www.music.finalpro.net) in Los Angeles to launch Brazilian bands in the USA.

My special thanks to all the audiences who have been by our side and to all who wrote me to compliment Hibria and my work. For those who chose to play bass guitar or play some licks I composed, I salute you with my warmest regards! I believe there's no greater satisfaction to a musician than inspiring upcoming musicians!

Also, I have no words to thank all the Japanese fans for all the great moments we had on the 4 concerts of 2009 and for including me among the best bass players in 2 different years!

Forever I'll remember the evil reactions, the sweated faces, hand claps and tears we shared together in different concerts! Both you and my band mates are part of the greatest moments of my life and made from Hibria the band I always wanted to be part of.

The band is now living a special moment and preparing the album I bet will be the best so far. I'm not sure if Hibria will wish to have any cooperation from my part, but I'm sure you'll know if this comes to happen. I wish to my friends Abel, Diego, Eduardo, Iuri and the member to come, lots of luck! I wish they keep conquering so dedicated fans, always ready to support the band and make from Hibria one of the most recognized Metal bands from Brazil in the latest years! In case you'd like to keep in touch, my email is mpanichi@finalpro.net
