Saturday, February 25, 2006 - Edenbridge news
Edenbridge will release their their fifth album, "The Grand Design", on May 19. A single, featuring the band's cover version of my personal favorite James Bond theme song "For Your Eyes Only", will precede the album on April 21.

The album was recorded at The Farpoint Station studio in Austria and the Thin Ice facility in England with Karl Groom. Guest musicians on the album include Dennis Ward and Robby Valentine, both of whom were responsible for backing vocals and choirs on the new CD.

Lanvall says: "'The Grand Design' has evolved to our biggest production so far and just the recordings took nearly three months to complete. It's the most vocal-orientated album of our band history, which especially can be heard in the many choir and backing vocals. Robby Valentine has done up to 64 voices in the 2 longtracks of the album which bring a totally new dimension into our sound. It was a great experience to record with him in Holland. Besides he played a fantastic piano solo in 'Terra Nova'. Also Dennis Ward did a brilliant job again. It's simply amazing to have musicians of such quality on the album. Karl Groom also recorded a fantastic solo for 'Terra Nova'."

"The Grand Design" track listing:

01. Terra Nova
02. Flame Of Passion
03. Evermore
04. The Most Beautiful Place
05. See You Fading Afar
06. On Top Of The World
07. Taken Away
08. The Grand Design
09. Empire Of The Sun (bonus track)

"For Your Eyes Only" track listing:

01. For Your Eyes Only
02. Evermore
03. The Grand Design (edit)
04. For Your Eyes Only (acoustic version)

Friday, September 30, 2005 - Edenbridge news
The fifth studio album by Edenbridge is called "The Grand Design" and will be released in Spring 2006. The production will take place in "Farpoint Station studio" (Austria) and "Thin Ice Studio" in England together with Karl Groom (Threshold). The prominent guests that are confirmed are Dennis Ward and Robby Valentine! Both will be responsible for backing vocals and choirs on the new album.

Lanvall says "A dream has come true for me that Robby Valentine will take part on the next album. I´ve been in contact with him for a long time now, but unfortunately we never met personally when we were on tour in Holland. When then he also invites you to come to Holland and work with him in his studio, it´s something really special ! Wonderful that Dennis is again doing choirs, his voice is perfectly harmonizing with Sabine´s and had a very important role on "Shine", this is something to continue with and build upon. I´ve been knowing Karl Groom for more than 10 years now, Threshold are one of my and Sabine´s absolute favorite bands and I love Karl´s productions."

The first single will be the song "Evermore". As a special bonus on the single, Edenbridge have done their first cover version ever, the James Bond classic "For your eyes only" originally sung by Sheena Easton!
