Erez Yohanan, founder and drummer of Amaseffer, has issued the following statement:

"Shelom everybody and happy new year to you all! I'm proud to announce that the great Angela Gossow (Arch Enemy) will take part on Amaseffer's trilogy. It's a long time since the vision came to my mind seeing and hearing Angela's voice on Amaseffer's music, just like the vision I had regarding Andy Kuntz being our lead singer :-) ! And today, after a short conversation with her and playing her the music, I got the green light from her to make the official statement that she will sing on the CD. It is an honor to have her singing for us and I believe that she will make the best out of it! As for today she's going through the music and the vocal lines, trying to figure the best way of making her voice fit the atmosphere of the music. It is not a big part, but still, having her singing it gives me the chills! I hope that in the next few weeks we will have her vocal lines done. Thank you again Angela"

Friday, July 21, 2006 - "Holy Project" from Vanden Plas singer Andy Kuntz
Amaseffer is the new "Holy Project" from Andy Kuntz, enigmatic lead singer of German progressive metal band Vanden Plas.

The story of Exodus will be told in the eventual trilogy of albums with the Hebrew name of Amaseffer referring to the name chosen for the Israelites in the Bible. Originating from Israel, the musical side of Amaseffer features Yuval Kramer (g), Hanan Abramovitch (g) and Erez Yohanan (d). The unique progressive sound of the trilogy is a mixture of Middle Eastern spices with an epic, cinematic scope polished with philharmonic orchestrations.

Andy Kuntz will co-produce the albums with the second and third albums due nine and eighteen months respectively after the release of the first album.

"The trilogy of albums recounting the story of Exodus will be recorded in three separate sessions," says drummer and main song-writer Erez Yohanan. Amaseffer's as yet untitled debut album is scheduled for release in late spring 2007. "The first part of the trilogy will contain ten tracks with a running time of 74 minutes", says Erez, and will be recorded in Germany's Bazement Studios, the same studio where Vanden Plas have recorded their latest release Christ 0.

Speaking of Vanden Plas, it seems their seminal keyboardist Gunter Werno (DC Cooper, Kamelot, Section A) has offered himself to record keyboards for the album. "We've had so many great offers from people around the world that are interested in helping us. It is very hard to choose between them," offers Erez Yohanan. "Two in particular include Orphaned Land singer Kobi Farhi who will narrate the albums and the very talented Mattias Noren (Ayreon, Evergrey) who is going to do the cover-artwork for Amaseffer."

A sound sample two songs have been at the band's MySpace website

The band is not yet signed but hopes a deal can be arranged soon.
